Pan African Youth United (PAYU) is cultural awareness program for teens engaging in youth voice and social empowerment through artistic expression. PAYU, a program develop for teens, gives youth an avenue to create their story about violence, drugs, sexuality, peer pressure, abuse and other social issues through spoken word, hip-hop and poetry. PAYU allows young people to have a voice, to express their inner reactions to the many issues of today. Together, students craft a capturing culminating performance on how to never give up even through the many obstacles they face. PAYU explores reflection, deep thoughts and expressiveness while developing critical thinkers in the world of creative writing.

How can you support:

To support  PAYU and help uplift our teens,  please buy a copy of "Life Lessons" recently published by one of our former students Malik Albert.  His first book of collective poems share his struggle as an inner city teen in Boston faced with peer pressure and social challenges yet he continues the will to "never give up". All proceeds go directly to support Malik and his mission to change and uplift other teens dealing with similar challenges.
