Ladies First / Young Man on the Rise Initiative

P.A.C.E. partnership with Boston Public Schools Office of Opportunity & Achievement Gaps, 10 Boys /10 Girls Initiative is an empowering group which provides a healing environment that inspires and promotes self-confidence and positive self-esteem.

The Boston Public Schools (BPS) Office of Opportunity Gaps (OOG) seeks to provide children in both the 10 Boys Initiative & the 10 Girls Initiative an opportunity that will enhance their global awareness, and ultimately improve their academic performance through exploration and self-discovery. We aim to enable our students a chance to help others, develop character, and enter in a global consciousness that will allow them time to find relevance and purpose for their academic work. Students in grades 7-12 will be embarking upon this intensive service learning, full-immersion trip to develop their leadership capacity, and upon return will take on a role in developing a social justice project to effect their respective communities. (Boston Public Schools)
